Lead Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer

Remote · India · Full-timeEngineering & AI5–10 years of experience

Own the Linux infrastructure, storage, networking and recovery systems behind Natoe’s production environment. A hands-on technical leadership role reporting to the CTO.

Apply for this role

The role

Take primary ownership of Natoe AI’s production infrastructure, which runs primarily on U.S.-hosted leased dedicated servers. This role needs practical experience operating self-managed production environments.

You will work with the CTO, engineering team, hosting providers and compliance partners. This is a technical leadership and individual-contributor position, rather than a people-management role.

What you will own

  • Linux server provisioning, hardening, patching, upgrades and performance.
  • Networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, certificates, reverse proxies and secure administrative access.
  • Storage for high-volume medical imaging and DICOM data, including capacity, integrity, archiving and migrations.
  • Backups, disaster recovery and validated restoration exercises.
  • Infrastructure monitoring, incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Deployment automation, repeatable configurations and safe rollbacks.
  • Production security controls: MFA, encryption, secrets management, logging and vulnerability remediation.
  • Infrastructure support for HIPAA, SOC 2 and security audits.
  • Bash/Python automation, AI coding assistants, runbooks and architecture documentation.

What you bring

  • 5–10 years in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, DevOps or a comparable role.
  • Hands-on ownership of dedicated servers, bare-metal or comparable self-managed infrastructure. Managed public-cloud experience alone is not sufficient.
  • Strong Linux, networking, filesystem and storage troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with databases, containerised applications and substantial file or object-storage workloads.
  • Practical backup restoration, disaster-recovery exercises and incident management.
  • Bash or Python, version control, CI/CD and configuration automation such as Ansible.
  • Hands-on use of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience implementing production security controls and supporting security assessments.

Experience that helps

Healthcare infrastructure, DICOM/PACS, large imaging archives, HIPAA-related controls, SOC 2 audits, U.S. healthcare customers or other regulated, data-intensive environments.

Working arrangement

Remote within India, with agreed overlap with U.S. business hours. Scheduled maintenance and critical incidents follow defined escalation and backup arrangements; the role does not require around-the-clock availability.
