Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give website operators information about how the site is being used. Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by third parties whose services the website uses (“third-party cookies”).

2. How We Use Cookies

Natoe AI uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (www.natoe.ai) and our teleradiology platform for the following purposes:

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website and platform to function properly. They enable core functionality such as:

  • User authentication and session management on our teleradiology platform.
  • Security features, including CSRF protection and secure login.
  • Load balancing to ensure reliable service delivery.
  • Remembering your cookie consent preferences.

These cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the Services to function. They do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is needed for session management.

2.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies

We do not currently use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) on our website or clinical platform. We do not implement tracking pixels, web beacons, or other third-party tracking technologies for analytics purposes. All website traffic analysis is performed through standard server logs only, which are retained for security and operational purposes.

2.3 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization, such as:

  • Remembering your display preferences and settings.
  • Storing your preferred language or region.
  • Remembering previously entered information to streamline your workflow.

If you disable these cookies, some features of the website may not function as intended.

3. Cookies and Technologies We Do Not Use

Natoe AI does not use:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies.
  • Social media tracking cookies.
  • Cross-site tracking cookies.
  • Third-party analytics tracking pixels or web beacons.
  • Behavioral or interest-based advertising technologies.

We do not engage in interest-based advertising, and we do not allow third-party advertising networks or analytics providers to place cookies, pixels, or other tracking technologies on our website or clinical platform.

3.1 Platform vs. Website Cookies

Our clinical teleradiology platform uses only strictly necessary session and authentication cookies required for secure operation and user authentication. These cookies do not enable analytics, tracking, or advertising functionality. Our website similarly uses only essential cookies necessary for site functionality. Clinical platform cookies that authenticate user sessions are subject to HIPAA security requirements. Any security incident involving clinical platform session cookies that results in unauthorized access to PHI will be treated as a potential breach and investigated in accordance with our Breach Notification Policy.

4. Cookie Duration

Cookies used on our website fall into two categories based on their duration:

Session Cookies: These are temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. They are used primarily for session management and security.

Persistent Cookies: These cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. They are used for functionality preferences and analytics. Our persistent cookies typically expire within twelve (12) months.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

5.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically configure your browser to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, alert you when cookies are being set, or delete cookies when you close your browser.

Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies may prevent you from accessing certain features of our teleradiology platform, including the ability to log in and access imaging studies.

5.2 How to Manage Cookies in Common Browsers

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Privacy, Search, and Services > Cookies and site permissions.

6. Similar Technologies

We do not currently use web beacons, tracking pixels, or local storage for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes. The following technologies are used only for operational and security purposes:

Server Logs: Standard server logs that record information about requests made to our servers, including IP addresses, browser types, and pages accessed. These logs are used for security monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational analysis only, not for tracking or analytics purposes.

7. Healthcare Data and Cookies

Our cookies do not store Protected Health Information (PHI), patient data, or diagnostic imaging data. Session cookies used on our teleradiology platform serve only to authenticate your session and maintain platform security. All PHI is handled in accordance with HIPAA requirements and our Notice of Privacy Practices.

8. Cookie Consent

Because our website and platform use only strictly necessary cookies (required for security and platform functionality), no cookie consent banner is required under current regulations. If we add non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement an appropriate cookie consent mechanism to obtain user consent before deploying such technologies.

9. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
